Mizuno Touches All Bases, Hits for Cycle
Tokaji Mizuno was jubilant as the Long Island Lighthouse left the field with a 11-9 win over the Ft. Worth Cattlemen today. He had every right to be.

The 27-year-old left fielder hit for the cycle at The Lighthouse, had a 4-for-5 game and chalked up 5 RBI and 2 runs to boot.

"It's too bad I can't do that every day," Mizuno said with a smile to reporters after the game. "It would do wonders for my batting average."

Long Island manager Michael Esposito was "proud" of the left fielder's feat, but was not expecting it to happen.

"Cycles are tough because triples are tough," the skipper said. "As soon as the ball left the bat on that triple, guys were jumping off the bench for him. Honestly, I wasn't sure he was going to be able to leg it out."

Tokaji Mizuno singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Clint Kirk in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a two-run triple in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.

This year Mizuno is batting .278 with 6 home runs and 23 RBIs.
