MSL Oakland shortstop Carlos García had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-4, to MSL Buckhead at MLB Buckhead Ballpark. García went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. MSL Buckhead has a record of 7-2.
The Oaks had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Bowties going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 17-year old left fielder Roberto Inostraza came to the plate. Inostraza hit a 2-run double on a 1-0 fastball from MSL Oakland hurler David Ortíz. It was Inostraza's 2nd double of the year.
"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Inostraza. "And vice-versa."
