Dirty Reds Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
Starting pitcher Bobby Shaw pitched well enough to help the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds beat the MSL Athletic Club KC U-18, 5-4. Yo Suzuki was credited with the save for MSL San Mateo, his 2nd of the season. MSL San Mateo currently is in first place in the PL MSL at 29-19.
MSL San Mateo used the clutch hitting of Miles Vlaminks to snag the win. The shortstop drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Dirty Reds ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Vlaminks.
