A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds and MSL Athletic Club KC U-18.

The MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds and starting pitcher Matt Hall stifled the MSL Athletic Club KC offense en route to a comfortable 8-2 win at MSL ACKC Ballpark. Hall went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 5-0.

MSL San Mateo used the bat of Larry Matthews to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Dirty Reds ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hall told the MSL San Mateo Daily.

The first-place Dirty Reds have a one-game lead in their division.
