Pérez Lays Hammer Down in 1-0 Win

Las Vegas got a first-rate effort from pitcher Miguel Pérez, who frustrated Pittsburgh hitters en route to a 1-0 Flamingos triumph at The Strip. Don Williams earned the save for Las Vegas, his 16th of the year. Las Vegas now sits in 7th place in the Silver League at 28-30.
Pérez gave Las Vegas a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings.
"I liked his command," said Las Vegas manager Tom Williams. "Miguel was throwing strikes."
