U-18 Edge Past Leviathin, 3-2

The MSL Athletic Club KC U-18 faced a tough opponent in MSL Nova Scotia pitcher Sib Gijbels, but did just enough to pull out the victory at MSL Nova Scotia Ballpark by a final score of 3-2. Gijbels went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Clifford Harvey got the win, improving to 4-0. He held the Leviathin to 2 runs on 4 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2. The third-place U-18 have won 4 straight.
MSL Athletic Club KC used the clutch hitting of Szeto Chaim to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the U-18 ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Joe Wilson.
