Voodoo Snatch Late Win
In a tight game between the MSL New Orleans Voodoo and the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathin, pitcher Jesús Durán was terrific on the mound. The MSL New Orleans right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Brant Atkinson collected save number 9. With the win over MSL Nova Scotia, the Voodoo improved to 18-20.

Runs were hard to come by in this one. Esa Miettinen's at-bat with one out in the top of the ninth, therefore, was critical. The MSL New Orleans shortstop drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put his team on top, 2-1.

In comments to the MSL New Orleans Daily News, Durán admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
