MSL Northern Virginia Gets 3-1 Road Win
|
In a tight game between the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids and the MSL New Orleans Voodoo, pitcher Dave Sharpe was terrific on the mound. The MSL Northern Virginia right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Ryutaro Yamamoto got the save, the 2nd for him this season. The third-place Rainbow Mermaids improved to 20-16.
It could have been a different outcome for MSL Northern Virginia, had it not been for Gregory Hartman, the 18-year old left fielder . Hartman contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put MSL Northern Virginia up, 3-0.
"Every loss stings," said MSL New Orleans manager John Simpson. "This one is no exception."
