Voodoo Suffer 3-1 Setback

The Dirty Reds grabbed a win, 3-1, at MSL New Orleans Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from MSL New Orleans pitcher Jesús Durán. Durán went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Po-fu Yuan got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Earning his 7th save for MSL San Mateo was Ed Ray.
MSL San Mateo used a clutch hit from Fernando Muñíz to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dirty Reds ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a good effort all around," said Muñíz.
Today's win puts MSL San Mateo at 12-11, while MSL New Orleans falls to 12-11.
