Big Day for Marrero as White Walkers Down Rainbow Mermaids, 9-5
|
MSL Buffalo designated hitter Manny Marrero played a vital role in his team's 9-5 triumph over MSL Northern Virginia. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for MSL Buffalo. MSL Buffalo's record now stands at 10-9, placing them third in the PL MSL.
The White Walkers benefited from an error in the bottom of the sixth inning. MSL Buffalo was trailing 5-4 when Ken Hooper hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put MSL Buffalo in front, 6-5.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Marrero. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
