MSL Colorado center fielder Ekene Chukwudi was a significant contributor in his team's 7-4 triumph over the MSL Greenville 84s. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for MSL Colorado. Curt Kerr snagged the win in relief. In 2.1 innings, the left-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits. He's now 2-0 on the season. The first-place Billy Goats have a one-game lead in their division.
Yll Januzaj had a clutch at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for the Billy Goats. Coming up with the bases loaded and MSL Colorado trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Chukwudi told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
