Patriots Snag 3-2 Win
|
The Boston Patriots had to overcome a good performance from Las Vegas pitcher Miguel Pérez to claim a 3-2 win at The Strip. Pérez went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winning pitcher was Iiri Lahti. He's now 3-0. He went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits for the Patriots. Bertrand Scotton closed it out for his 1st save.
Boston used the timely hitting of Juan Andrés Martí to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Patriots on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Las Vegas skipper Tom Williams.
After today's action, Boston sits at 30-24, while Las Vegas falls to 25-29.
