Dirty Reds Defeat Mockingbirds, 6-5
The MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds topped the MSL Mississippi Mockingbirds, 6-5, in USPL Mexican Summer League action at MSL San Mateo Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of MSL San Mateo pitcher Sherman Travis. MSL San Mateo reliever Ed Ray was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Yok-sing Zhou. The loss drops the Mockingbirds to 2-3.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Kevin Clark had a chance to be the hero. MSL Mississippi pitcher Yok-sing Zhou had other ideas. But with one out, Clark hit a run-scoring single. The Dirty Reds had themselves a dramatic win.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant José López, the MSL San Mateo skipper.
