Voodoo Handled by MSL Colorado, 5-4

The MSL Colorado Billy Goats weathered a fine game by MSL New Orleans center fielder Kazuma Komatsu to upend the Voodoo, 5-4, at MSL Colorado Ballpark. Komatsu was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Curt Kerr, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits. Tony Ayala closed the door for MSL Colorado, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
In the bottom of the seventh, MSL Colorado second baseman Chip Smith hit a 2-run single to right field. The clutch hit made it, 4-2, Billy Goats.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Smith.
The Billy Goats, now 2-0, have been playing some good baseball.
