Trash Pandas Edge Past Interns, 2-1
|
The Watford City Trash Pandas earned a win at Alouettes Ballpark, stopping the Capital Hill Interns, 2-1. Starting pitcher Kim-Hu Tung played a big role in his team's success. Bob Flannery converted his 11th save in 12 tries. With the win over Capital Hill, the Trash Pandas improved to 56-34.
Watford City used the timely hitting of Connor Adams to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Trash Pandas on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Watford City manager António Fabián.
