The Long Island Ducks beat the Franklin Fire by a score of 8-5. Long Island right fielder Alden Hargrove deserved the lion's share of the credit. Hargrove went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Ducks. Long Island reliever Iain Abresch was the winner. His record is now 4-0. Joe Ross took the loss. Wiyoto Djajadiningrat closed the door for Long Island, picking up his 8th save of the year.

Tynan Allen took Joe Ross deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run home run put the Ducks on top, 6-5. In all, Allen had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Allen told the Long Island Herald.

With the win, Long Island raised its record to 45-31.
