Bullets Win, King goes 3-for-3
|
Baltimore Grounds was the site for United States Silver League action featuring the Echo Park Lakers and Baltimore Bullets.
Baltimore left fielder Norbert King had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Echo Park Lakers, 8-4. Yong-zhan Long got the win, improving to 5-2. He held the Lakers to 4 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 1.
King contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Baltimore in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, King took a changeup from Hang-ki Cong and stroked the home run to right. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Bullets to leap in front, 3-1.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," King told the Baltimore Herald.
The 6th-place Bullets are now 24-24, the Lakers 27-21.
