Covenay K's 10 En Route to 5-0 Beavers Win
|
Trevor Covenay was superb against Franklin. The right-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the 3A- with a 2.13 ERA, had a changeup that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Beavers victory. The score was 5-0. Northwest Territory now has a 3-game win streak.
Covenay dominated for Northwest Territory, raising his record to 2-3. Franklin hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 2 hits over 8.1 innings while striking out 10.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Northwest Territory manager Robert Acker.
