The Fort Knox Centennial defeated the Surprise Shockers, 6-5, at Ballpark of Baxter. Gilberto Silva was a standout performer for Fort Knox. His 4 hits included 2 singles and 2 doubles, in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 1 he knocked in. The first-place Centennial have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Fort Knox trailing 5-3, Sam Hayes jumped on a 1-1 circle change from Ivano Rashin for a 3-run home run, sending the Centennial to a walk-off win.

"We're playing like gangbusters right now," said Hayes.
