The North Ft. Myers Gators picked up a win at Dodge Field, knocking off the Amarillo Warheads, 6-3. On the mound for North Ft. Myers was left-hander Gabriel Salas, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Gators go to 36-48, putting them 8th in the Silver Low A.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Gators had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when shortstop Ludwig Hofler hit a 2-run single. The single came off Ed Moore and made the score 2-0, Gators. Hofler was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
