The Bompton Baby Lakers got a sterling performance from pitcher George Hensley, but the Bethlehem Angel Kitties still prevailed, 2-1. Hensley threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The winner was Seth Abrams in relief. His record improves to 2-0. George Hensley took the loss. The save went to Joël Durand, his 24th this season.
Daniel Zarate hit a run-scoring double off George Hensley in the bottom of the first, which put the Angel Kitties in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Zarate had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"No time for flexing," said Zarate. "It's always one game at a time."
The triumph puts Bethlehem at 40-34 for the season.
