Angel Kitties Beat Baby Lakers, 4-3
|
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties defeated the Bompton Baby Lakers, 4-3, in USSL Low A action at Kittie Park. Bethlehem pitcher Lyle Briggs had a standout performance. Joël Durand earned the save for Bethlehem, his 23rd of the year. With this game in the books, Bethlehem is 39-34, Bompton 32-41.
The Angel Kitties got a big hit from pinch hitter Robert Hibbs. In the bottom of the sixth, Hibbs smacked a 2-run home run off Bompton pitcher Wladimir Rosenburg. It was his 1st home run of the season. Suddenly, the Angel Kitties were ahead, 4-3.
"Lyle just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Bethlehem manager Sal Haynes.
