Zoomies Deal Baby Lakers 7-2 Defeat

Shady Side picked up a win at Field of the Browns, bumping off the Bompton Baby Lakers, 7-2. Pitcher Cisco Navarro was a major reason the Zoomies emerged victorious. Navarro went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 4-3. Shady Side is now 37-27, Bompton 30-34.
In the top of the first, Juan Martínez ambushed a 2-2 sinker from Michael Temple and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Shady Side a quick 2-0 lead.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Navarro said.
