Ladue picked up a win at Lawmen Ballpark, toppling the Franklin Fire, 7-3. Pitcher John McGrath was one of the reasons the Rams triumphed. Ladue has a record of 6-3.

Ladue used the bat of Valentín Piña to get the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rams ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Piña said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
