Octopi Collect 6-4 Win Over Uruguayans
Steve Patterson was a major contributor to the 6-4 Ogallala win over Germantown. The Octopi shortstop was 4-6 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ogallala reliever Darryl Smith picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Vicente Deleón was saddled with the loss. The Octopi now have a mark of 28-27.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 13th, until Patterson delivered big-time for Ogallala, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Vicente Deleón. The game-changing hit put the Octopi on top, 5-4.

"It feels good to get this one," Patterson told the Ogallala Times.
