Getting a good performance from first baseman Lucas Clément, the Canonniers de Quebec defeated the Capital Hill Interns, 5-3. Clément was 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Canonniers de Quebec. Sam van Elswijk earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 4.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. José Bustamante earned the save, his 2nd.

A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Canonniers de Quebec sent teenager Bill Jones to the plate against Interns hurler Jesse Larson. With runners on 1st and 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a 0-2 sinker to score 1.
