Octopi Topple Angel Kitties, 10-7
|
César García added some punch to the Ogallala offense, helping them outmuscle the Bethlehem Angel Kitties, 10-7. In the game, García, who is tied for 4th in the SA- in stolen bases with 6, was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The Octopi saw their record improve to 25-26.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Rhys Robert went deep for the Octopi. With Ogallala trailing 6-4, he drilled a 2-run home run.
Octopi manager Félix Cruz wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
