Zarate Leads Angel Kitties to 7-4 Win Over Octopi
|
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties downed the Ogallala Octopi, 7-4. The hitting star was designated hitter Daniel Zarate. Zarate went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Angel Kitties. Richard Lee got the win, improving to 4-4. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 2. Joël Durand recorded his 16th save for Bethlehem.
In the top of the sixth, Zarate put his team in front with his 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Lulani Makalapua, made it 6-4, Bethlehem.
"No time for flexing," said Zarate. "It's always one game at a time."
