Tight Tilt Goes to Fire, 3-2
|
In a tight contest at Lawmen Ballpark, the Franklin Fire edged the Northwest Territory Beavers by the score of 3-2. Franklin shortstop Johnny Taylor, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The loss puts Northwest Territory at 1-3.
Taylor contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Franklin in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Taylor took a slider from Yunus bin Ka'im and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Fire to leap in front, 2-1.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Taylor said after the game.
