The Bompton Baby Lakers beat the North Ft. Myers Gators, 7-1, at Dodge Field. The win was due in part to catcher Homer Green, who went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Eddie Walden picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-3. He struck out 9 in 7 innings. The wins continue to add up for Bompton, with the latest making it 8 in a row.
Having an impact for Bompton was Jorge Escues. In the top of the fourth inning, the 20-year old right fielder had a run-scoring ground out to make the score 2-0, Baby Lakers.
