The Fort Knox Centennial defeated the Surprise Shockers, 4-3. Doing his part was designated hitter Gerben Rijsdijk, who hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Charles Jones went 5.2 innings for Fort Knox to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs. He scattered 3 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. His record improves to 4-2. Deron Taylor nailed down his 4th save.
Jean Kools, who is tied for 9th in the SA- with a .909 OPS, aided the Fort Knox cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
