Germantown left fielder Russ Miller played a vital role in his team's 12-6 triumph over Shady Side. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Germantown. At 13-32, the Uruguayans find themselves in last place in the Silver Low A.

In the first inning, Miller had a 3-run home run for Germantown. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Uruguayans on top, 3-0.

Uruguayans manager Júlio Aguirre wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
