In a close game at The Stage in Memphis, the North Ft. Myers Gators edged the Memphis Music, 5-4. North Ft. Myers third baseman Jorge Reyes stood apart with his performance. He went 5-7 with a home run, a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Tony Rodríguez recorded his 1st save for North Ft. Myers. The Gators saw their record improve to 17-28.
In the top of the 14th, Reyes hit a solo home run to put his team on top. The Gators would go on to win the game.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Gilberto Chávez.
