The Ogallala Octopi had to overcome a good performance from Fort Knox pitcher Yeong-suk Yi to claim a 1-0 win at Ballpark of Baxter. Yi went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Sidney Jones got the win, improving to 5-5. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up no runs on 8 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The Octopi, at 23-20, sit in 4th place in the Silver Low A.

It could have been a different outcome for Ogallala, had it not been for Luzvimindo Layug, the 20-year old center fielder . Layug contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Ogallala up, 1-0.
