Escues Goes Deep Twice in 7-1 Baby Lakers Win
The 7-1 Bompton win over Bethlehem was due in large part to Jorge Escues. The Baby Lakers right fielder slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. The winning pitcher was Eddie Walden. He's now 4-3. He went 9 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits for the Baby Lakers. The Baby Lakers move to 18-23 with the win, while the Angel Kitties drop to 21-20.

Bompton took a 7-1 lead on Escues's 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Michael Davis in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Bompton to the win.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Bompton manager Júlio Villegas.
