The Franklin Fire opened their 2050 season with a disappointing 6-2 loss to the Long Island Ducks at Lawmen Ballpark. Third Baseman Mitsuhide Yamamoto was a big part of the win for Long Island. He hit 2 home runs. Juan De La Garza went 5 innings for Long Island to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs. He scattered 4 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 10.
