The Shady Side Zoomies got a sterling performance from pitcher Mark Ramsdell, but the Ogallala Octopi still prevailed, 3-2. Ramsdell threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. Ogallala reliever Lulani Makalapua picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Rusty Collins was saddled with the loss. The Octopi, at 16-15, sit in 5th place in the Silver Low A.

Ogallala won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Rusty Collins on the mound for Shady Side, designated hitter Javier Fanego hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Octopi fans to their feet.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Fanego told the Ogallala Times.
