Baby Lakers Upend Angel Kitties, 7-0
|
The Bompton Baby Lakers saddled the Bethlehem Angel Kitties with a loss at Kittie Park. The final score was 7-0. Carl Carey was 4 for 5, including 3 singles and 1 home run. The Bompton right fielder scored 2 runs and drove in 1. The Angel Kitties fall to 7-9 and continue their uneven start to the 2050 season.
Bompton used the bat of José Peña to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Baby Lakers ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Bompton manager Júlio Villegas.
