|
Bethlehem picked up a win at Kittie Park, toppling the Fort Knox Centennial, 6-4. Pitcher Irving Lewis was one of the reasons the Angel Kitties triumphed. The winning pitcher was Lewis, now 1-1. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 7. Joël Durand sewed up the save, his 4th.
Hsien-feng Wa hit a 2-run home run off Jeff Cook in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Angel Kitties ahead, 6-4. In addition to the homer, Wa had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Wa told reporters after the game.
Bethlehem now has a record of 7-5.
