Gators Top Warheads, 10-1, Behind Salas
|
North Ft. Myers starter Gabriel Salas kept the Amarillo hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 10-1. The win brings the Gators to 2-10, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
Salas tossed 102 pitches over 7 innings to clinch the win for the Gators. The left-hander allowed just 2 hits, while racking up 10 strikeouts in the game.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Salas.
