Trembath, Centennial Too Much for Angel Kitties
|
The Fort Knox Centennial relied on the hitting of designated hitter Mark Trembath to stop the Bethlehem Angel Kitties, 8-6. For the game, Trembath went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Fort Knox reliever Juan Sánchez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Joël Durand was saddled with the loss. The win lifts Fort Knox to a record of 8-3.
Fort Knox needed the clutch hitting of Gilberto Silva to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Centennial on top, 8-6. For the game, Silva had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We maximized our offense today," said Fort Knox skipper Justin Saginov. "That makes everyone's life easier."
