Centennial Shut Out Angel Kitties, 6-0
|
The Fort Knox Centennial defeated the Bethlehem Angel Kitties, 6-0, in USSL Low A action at Kittie Park. Fort Knox pitcher Juan Corona had a standout performance. The Centennial, now 7-3, have been playing some good baseball.
Fort Knox used a well-timed hit by Gilberto Silva to capture the win. The right fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Centennial ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Centennial manager Justin Saginov raved about Corona after the game. "I thought Juan was 'lights out.'"
