Uruguayans Lose Again, 9-6, to Octopi
|
The Ogallala Octopi topped the Germantown Uruguayans, 9-6, in USSL Low A action at Nebraska Aquarium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Ogallala second baseman César García. Lulani Makalapua collected save number 1. The win leaves Ogallala with a record of 6-2.
Ogallala third baseman Stephan Tietmeyer helped the Octopi go up, 7-6, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Tietmeyer hit a run-scoring single off Germantown pitcher Remie den Braber.
"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager Júlio Aguirre. "But it's got to translate into wins."
