Beaumont Crossbeaus starter Eduardo Sánchez was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Hicksville Hounds, 6-2. Sánchez got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 8.1 innings. Sánchez allowed 2 runs. With the win, Beaumont upped its record to 45-45.
Beaumont took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Jun-seok Kyo stroked a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Crossbeaus.
"Eduardo was able to execute his pitches," said Beaumont manager Steve Ferguson. "Simple as that."
