The Ogallala Octopi weathered an outstanding game by Bompton right fielder Carl Carey to topple the Baby Lakers, 7-6. Carey went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Marcus Nielsen recorded the save, his 1st. With the win, Ogallala climbs to 2-2.

Rhys Robert helped out the Ogallala cause in the top of the third inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Robert, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
