Romero Shackles Redwood in 6-1 Hounds Win
|
Hicksville used a superb performance from starting pitcher César Romero to down the Redwood Rhinos, 6-1. The Hounds saw their win-loss record go to 33-52. At the same time, the Rhinos fell to 20-65.
Romero, who was born in Santiago, Chile, threw 97 pitches over 7.2 innings, while allowing no runs.
"I know we have our doubters," said Redwood manager Dave Parrish. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
