5 Straight Wins for Baby Blues

Hicksville got a big-time effort from pitcher Domingo Gonzáles, but it wasn't enough to keep the Quebec City Baby Blues from winning the game, 3-0. Gonzáles threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Éric Lemaire finished the game for Quebec City and earned his 17th save. The Baby Blues, at 57-25, have now won 5 straight.
Quebec City used a clutch hit from Dan Rouse to snatch the win. The right fielder belted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Baby Blues ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit, but it was huge.
Rouse said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."
