In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Plattsburgh picked up a win at Plattsburgh Park, toppling the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 8-3. Pitcher Shing Deng was one of the reasons the Puffer Fish triumphed. Plattsburgh is 4th in the Premier Low A with a record of 43-38.

The Puffer Fish got a big hit from designated hitter Emílio Casas. In the bottom of the sixth, Casas pounded a bases-clearing double to right. His 17th double of the season put the Puffer Fish ahead, 7-3.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Casas told the Plattsburgh Gazette.
