Hudsonville picked up a win at Hudsonville Park, toppling the Redwood Rhinos, 1-0. Pitcher Thaddeus Alambra was one of the reasons the Flanderses triumphed. Morgan Cartier closed it out for his 3rd save. Hudsonville is 39-35 and Redwood, with the loss, 19-55.

The Flanderses got a big at-bat from first baseman Qing-lai Li, who in the bottom of the first hit a solo home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Flanderses on top, 1-0.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Alambra. "Successful pitchers do it."
