The Hicksville Hounds had to overcome a good performance from Redwood pitcher Seung-gwan Kim to claim a 3-2 win at Hound Pound. Kim went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Hicksville reliever Jason Ford picked up the win, upping his record to 2-5. Kahakuokahale Nakaunicina was saddled with the loss. The Hounds sport a record of 24-41.

In the bottom of the ninth, Dan Schroeder had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring sacrifice fly to center off Redwood pitcher Kahakuokahale Nakaunicina.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Hicksville manager Oliver Burrell.
